About NeuroMythical

Meet Katie

Hi, I’m Katie, the person behind the NeuroMythical Planner.

In May 2020, I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

That fall, I started working as a brain trainer, helping adults, teens, and kids build skills like attention, memory, executive function, and time management. It was incredibly fulfilling work and I loved it.

It was there, working with other neurodivergent people, that I realized I might be neurodivergent too. In 2022, at age 26, I was formally diagnosed with ADHD.

A lot of my personal, academic, and professional struggles suddenly made sense. I wasn't lazy. I was wired differently. And because I was wired similarly to many of my students, I could start using that perspective to be a better coach and trainer.

I was able to help a lot of people and learn about myself in the process. It was an amazing experience, but it was also the most challenging job I'd ever had, and after four years, I burnt out.

I still wanted to support neurodivergent people, but I needed to do it differently. So I started building something that let me work when I’m at my best. A lot of it was built at 3 a.m., in the middle of the week, with my headphones on and the lights off.

I showed drafts of the planner to other brain trainers, educators, and mental health professionals, including professionals with ADHD, and their feedback helped shape the NeuroMythical planner into what it is now.

Designed for people whose motivation and progress often look like a bendy straw.

If that's you, you're in the right place.

What I kept seeing (and built this for)

These were the most common patterns I saw in brain training, and I’ve lived them too.

The goal is clear, the steps aren’t

You know what you want, but breaking it into steps feels weirdly hard. That’s why each month includes a SMART-R Goals page and an Action Plan, so big, impossible-feeling goals turn into small, doable steps.

The plan exists, starting is the hard part

You can know what to do and still feel stuck. The weekly Roadmap to Success helps you choose a realistic focus, identify your “why,” and plan for roadblocks before they trip you up.

Progress happens, then life happens

You can do everything right and still have a crash-and-burn week. That’s why each month includes a Wins & Lessons page, so you can name what worked, what didn’t, and adjust your strategy to better fit you.

One missed day, and it feels like failure

That’s why the habit tracker uses Nailed it!, Almost, and Not Today, so success doesn't depend on perfection. Partial wins still count, and having an off day doesn’t spiral into giving up.

Choose your format

Same NeuroMythical system, four ways to use it. Pick the version that removes the most friction for you.

Hardcover (Physical)

Best for “I need a real-life anchor.”

  • You want one home base you can’t accidentally close or lose in a folder.
  • Object permanence helps, seeing it on your desk reminds you to use it.
  • You focus better off screens, apps are too distracting.
  • You like tactile feedback, flipping pages, stickers, and “I did it” moments.
  • You tend to do best with flexible structure and minimal setup decisions.

Stylus-Ready (Tablet)

Best for “I think better when I write, but I need flexibility.”

  • You love handwriting, but you want undo/erase instead of starting over.
  • You do well with color, highlighting, and visual cues, especially on low-energy days.
  • You want a portable setup you can use on the couch, in bed, or on the go.
  • You’re more consistent when your planner lives in the device you already use daily.
  • You want structure, but you also want it to feel low-stakes.

Note: best if you can resist “just one more scroll.”

Fillable (Typed)

Best for “If I have to write it, it won’t happen.”

  • You want the lowest friction, typing is faster than writing.
  • You like clean pages and the ability to edit without mess.
  • You plan best at a computer, at work, or during focused desk time.
  • You benefit from copy/paste for recurring routines (because reinventing the wheel is exhausting).
  • You like to type—a lot—and need scrollable fields that don't run out of room.

Printable (Self-Print)

Best for “I need ultimate flexibility and easy resets.”

  • You want to use only what you need, when you need it, without committing to a whole book.
  • You like printing in bursts (a month at a time, a week at a time, whatever your brain needs).
  • You love customizing, rearranging, or using a binder/disc system.
  • You’re comforted by “I can reprint this” when perfectionism kicks in.
  • You want a format that supports fresh starts, even in the middle of a week or month.

What’s the return/refund policy?

The full policy lives on the FAQ/Policies page, but here's the short version:

The Hardcover planner is returnable if unaltered and in original condition.
